I take a slightly different approach to sessions...
The most important thing for your photo session is that you are present with those who matter most to you. Your session is not about a Pinterest board or Instagram feature account. It is about time spent with those who you love so so much, and documenting every sweet moment with them.
A huge part of how I serve clients, whether that be a couple on their wedding day or a mom during a family photo session, is by helping them create space to let genuine moments happen. Like the images of you hugging your mom, or wiping a tear from your dad's eye, or a whispered conversation with your kiddos after a silly joke is made or their feeling shy.
Your photos are the one tangible thing you can hold on. Your children will grow up. The wedding day will end. But your photos will live on. Through prints and albums. Reshares on social media. They are alive and something you can pass down and show off for the rest of your life.
It is important that you know this, because above all else I want to make sure we are the right fit for each other. Your experience while taking photos plays a huge role in how you feel about the images after. Your photos, no matter what the occasion, are something you should cherish for the rest of your life, you deserve nothing less than that from your photographer.
“Kira is so kind and supportive and with such [an] awkward thing for us to be in front of the camera, she made us feel so comfortable and we had a blast with her! The way the gallery was delivered was wonderful and so easy to use, our favorite part of it all was how personalized she made the experience for us, especially with the delivery email and playlist!"
