This is for families who want the magic of childhood documented forever. For those who don't want to just remember what their children looked like in this time, but also what the season felt like. All the fun and joy and beauty. This means all sessions take on a candid and documentary approach. Prioritizing the small moments and intimate gestures, and through those seeing the bigger picture. And don't worry, we will take a few posed photos too! But the primary focus of the session is creating genuine moments, not posed ones. It's real and it's raw and it's beautiful. It's your life documented forever. These are perfect for families who are expecting their first child, for families who need photos for their Christmas cards, or families who have children already and are expecting another. Whatever your story is, I am here to help you tell it.

I am located in Fort Collins, CO and serve the Northern Colorado areas, including Boulder, Windsor, Loveland, Estes Park, and Denver. I also frequently am in Ventura, CA and surrounding areas since that is where I am originally from, and will book sessions and weddings there as well.
The amount of photos you will receive after your family or maternity session varies depending on which package is booked. But typically the 30 minute session can expect around 15 edited photos, the 1 hour session can expect around 40 edited photos, and the morning/afternoon long session (up to 4 hours) can expect around 75 edited images.
I do not. To me that feels like cheating, like only have the work is done. But don't worry I will make sure that you do not miss out on your memories and I am always more than happy to go back through if you feel as though I missed any!
Payments are broken up into two payments that are 50% of your package total- with the first being a non refundable retainer due when you sign your contract, and the last being due one day before your session. Payments are made through an online system using debit, credit, or bank transfer. Auto pay is an option, but you will also be sent reminder emails before the payment is due if you choose not to set up auto pay.
To book your family or maternity session, head to my contact page by clicking HERE. Within two business days I will respond via email and send you a detailed pricing guide that goes over all the packages I offer and any add-ons. After looking it over just let me know which session option you are leaning towards, and where you want to take the photos (or if you need any suggestions!!). Once we get the details nailed out I will send you a contract and invoice, then once those are signed and paid you will be officially in my calendar! Once sent I do ask that everything is signed and paid within one week.
If anything happens and I can't be at your session due to sickness or an emergency, the first thing I would do is try to reschedule for a new date and apply any payments you have already made to that new date. If rescheduling is not possible and I need to just cancel, then you would be refunded any monies paid and we would both be relieved of any obligations.
If you have already put down a retainer, that retainer is non-refundable.
If you want to reschedule, that retainer will be valid for 6 months after the original date and can be applied to your new date. You may only reschedule one time.
If you want to cancel, the retainer is non-refundable. If you come back later and wish to book again a new retainer and contract will be required.
I began taking photos when I was in high school, and by the time I got to college I realized that it was truly all I wanted to do with my life. So after finishing college I began the steps to turn photography into a career. At this point I have 6+ years of photography experience.
First we would try to reschedule for another day or another time of day. In Colorado afternoon thunderstorms are common so I will often reschedule sessions to morning before the storm comes. If rescheduling is not an option and we can safely continue with the session, then we will just shoot in which ever weather comes our way.
I will not. I am firmly of the belief that your body is beautiful the way it is and does not need retouching. The only exception to this is anything that wouldn’t normally be there, like ache or scratches.
Wear something comfortable that feels true to you!! I always always suggest wearing something you can move in and has movement, but don't worry I'll send you an outfit guide with more outfit suggestions. If you have any specific questions the guide doesn't cover you can always ask me, and you can send me pictures of what you are thinking about wearing and I’ll help you choose.
I absolutely love to travel for sessions and I am more than happy to travel for yours! Travel is charged for sessions outside of two hours from Fort Collins, CO (so two hours there and back are covered). Anything outside of that is $50 an hour + any lodging and food.. I charge travel this way that way you never have to pay more than you have to.
Only at select times of the year as promotion. They are not something I offer regularly.
You can expect to receive a fully edited family or maternity session gallery two weeks after your session. Unless you add on a rushed turn around time, in that case it would be ready in one week.
Absolutely I do! I can help with everything from choosing outfits, to choosing a time of day, to choosing a location that meets your session vibe.
Yes of course! Pets are family too, so yes please bring them and let them be involved too! The only time I would say no, is if we are taking the photos in a national park, or natural area, or public land that doesn’t allow pets. Basically, if the location where we are taking the photos allows pets then please bring them! And maybe also bring someone along who can hold onto your pet for you while we are taking photos that they are not in!
